Gabriela Esquivel

Gabriela Esquivel is a Costa Rican-American interdisciplinary artist and author based in South Florida. With a background that includes living in Germany, Switzerland, the U.S., and Puerto Rico, she holds a BFA in Sculpture, a BA in Humanities, and a BM in Commercial Music-Composition. Esquivel has exhibited at prominent art fairs like the Florence Biennale, Art Fort Lauderdale, Miami Art Basel Week, and La Campechada in Puerto Rico. In 2019, she published Gema, the Curious Butterfly, an award-winning children’s book combining literature, art, and music. Her work has been showcased at venues such as La Fortezza (Italy), Florida International University, GalleryOne Hotel, and ArtServe. She is also an active volunteer with the Neighbors Volunteer Office and Action for Literacy.
