Myriam Ramos

Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Myriam Ramos is a visual artist whose work spans drawing, painting, and ceramics. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the University of Puerto Rico and later completed a Master’s degree in Art Education at New York University.

Ramos taught visual arts in various public and private schools across Puerto Rico, sharing her passion for creativity with generations of students. While she initially focused on drawing and painting, she later rediscovered clay as a powerful expressive medium through her studies with ceramic artist Roxanna Jordán. Her work has been exhibited in several galleries throughout Puerto Rico, reflecting a practice grounded in both education and artistic exploration. Myriam Ramos’ watercolors capture the quiet beauty of everyday life, offering portrayals of familiar local spaces, native flora, and fleeting glimpses of the city’s rhythms.
