Marcelino Puig Pastrana

Marcelino Puig Pastrana, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, began his career in theater before pursuing Art History and Fine Arts at Fordham University. His work spans drawing, painting, graphic arts, and ceramics. He currently teaches at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón.

Puig Pastrana has had solo exhibitions in Puerto Rico, including “Han Sonado las Horas Dormidas” and “El Lugar en que se Forma el Silencio”, and his work La Memoria Sedimentaria was featured in the 2018 National Arts Exhibition. His drawings and ceramics have been shown internationally, including at the Gualdo Tadino International Ceramics Competition and the Museo de las Américas in Old San Juan. His work is held in collections at the Polo Museale Gualdo Tadino (Italy), UPRM Art Museum, the Arana Foundation, and private collections in New York, Madrid, and San Juan.
