Adriana Mangual | Perfilado II | Ceramic | 4 ¾ x 2 x 4" The vertical composition features a three-dimensional ceramic head protruding from a rough, sandy-textured wall, likely in the courtyard of Galería Botello in Old San Juan. The sculpture depicts a simplified, primitive-style face in profile with a prominent, angular nose and a serene expression. The head is crowned with highly textured, tight brown curls that contrast with the smooth, pale yellow-green glaze of the face. The piece is bathed in natural, dappled light from nearby lush green foliage, emphasizing the rhythmic shadows and organic quality of the handcrafted clay.
