José García Campos

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1970, José García Campos earned his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Sculpture from the Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Puerto Rico. Throughout his career, García Campos has collaborated on both public and private commissions with notable artists and contributed to the Pavilion of Puerto Rico. He participated in the Third Biennial of Sculpture in the Steel Industry held in Puerto Rico in 2003. In addition to his artistic practice, García Campos served as a professor of metal sculpture at the Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Puerto Rico from 2000 to 2001.
