Calin Dover-Tarrats

Born in the Bronx, New York, he is a multidisciplinary artist whose work draws from sociology, physics, and contemporary social issues. Through abstract, organic imagery, he creates prints, paintings, installations, and sound pieces that explore space as a reflection of multiple dimensions, both literal and symbolic. His works transform abstraction and figuration, giving rise to ambiguous creatures and map-like forms that suggest unseen or parallel realities. By reframing the familiar, his work invites viewers to reconsider the everyday and confront the subtleties of what often goes unnoticed. Deeply engaged with the social conditions that shape our world, he investigates how events impact us individually and collectively, encouraging a deeper awareness of our responses to the systems and structures that surround us.
