Lorraine Blasor

Blasor is a visual artist born in the United States and raised in Livorno, Italy. She is currently based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. With a professional background in journalism and a longstanding commitment to the visual arts, Blasor has been actively producing and exhibiting work since the mid-1980s. Her practice has been featured in exhibitions in San Juan, Philadelphia, and in alternative art spaces throughout New York City. She has held three solo exhibitions in New York in 2006, 2007, and 2009.

Blasor’s work centers on the emotional landscape of human experience, with a particular focus on the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, especially those between women, or between women and men. Her figurative compositions, though imaginary, reflect real people and their inner lives, capturing a range of emotions, anxieties, and moments from everyday existence.
